Compensation: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
General Description - Using strong communication sales skills, the primary focus of this position is to generate new sales in an assigned territory by finding, nurturing, qualifying and closing high quality, revenue-generating prospects that are well aligned to Aptean's strategic goals and objectives. Activities will include marketing plan assistance, proactive networking with prospects and industry influencers and direct management of all assigned sales activities such as lead generation, solution presentations, RFP responses and execution of sales for new logo business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is able to prioritize daily activities. -Key responsibilities will include; developing a marketing plan in conjunction with marketing manager, building a sales funnel, establishing industry contacts, managing complex sales cycles, and mapping customer needs back to the Diamond, Vadim and WorkTech solutions with assistance from Pre-sales resources. The successful candidate will be dedicated to on-going learning and process improvement and will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Travel is a part of the job with destinations throughout the assigned Territory. -Travel requirements for the position are estimated to be 25-30% Contacts Internal: Daily interaction with staff including co-operation on activities, exchange of ideas and information and internal team training. -Frequent interaction with Sales team to exchange ideas and information, present reports and recommendations. Dialogue with related internal teams (Professional Services) to ensure that business case considerations are within the boundaries of what the company can deliver. -External: Frequent interaction with prospects customers in an intermediate to senior capacity. This may include pipeline development, relationship building, opportunity assessment and qualification, Turnkey sales cycle management, participation in product demonstrations and market trend analysis Skills and Knowledge Required ? -Experience: 2-3 years of sales related experience in software industry (public sector experience is preferred) ? -Education: Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience in Computer Science and/or Accounting, or related fields. ? -Certification: Any IT or Accounting certification would be an asset, none required. ? -Knowledge Base: Must have firm understanding of consultative solution selling and sales qualification techniques. -An understanding of local government or experience working with customers in the public sector is a definite asset.
