 Change Management Communications and Engagement Specialist

On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Change Management Communications and Engagement Specialist to plan and develop communication, engagement activities, and deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders as well as provide senior level of expertise to the internal change management team for all aspects of communications and engagement related to the project.

Change Management Communications and Engagement Specialist Job Details:

  • work with the initiative lead to understand goals and objectives, benefits and detriments of the proposed changes
  • be responsible for the development and execution of the communication and engagement strategy and plan and related materials necessary for the successful transition
  • coach leaders and business representatives to deliver messages and sponsor engagement activities
  • work together with communications department to leverage the existing communication channels to achieve the communication objectives as appropriate including proposing, developing and managing new communication and engagement channels as required
  • coordinate and ensure alignment of communication and engagement activities among the project work-streams and other change initiatives
  • work collaboratively within the organization and the project team including business leaders, consultants, process owners, business analysts, systems analysts, and other subject matter experts to identify issues, formulate communications strategies, and create and manage messaging relating the transition.

Change Management Communications and Engagement Specialist Mandatory Skills:

  • a university degree and/or post-graduate college certificate in communications, journalism
  • working knowledge and understanding of change management principles and methodologies
  • exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • excellent active listening skills
  • ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization – quickly establishing and then maintaining relationships
  • ability to understand the requirements of each functional area
  • ability to conduct stakeholder analysis and assessments
  • ability to identify potential risks and points of resistance and develop specific plants to mitigate or address the concerns
  • ability to coach leaders and support engagement activities for key stakeholders
  • experience managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines and working independently
  • experience working with a large-scale organization
  • experience managing complex, high-profile projects
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

 Change Management Communications and Engagement Specialist Desired Skills:

  • experience in the retail and/or wholesale industry
  • a basic proficiency in graphic design
  • proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint
